On March 5 th, 2005 a group of nine Halifax FEHA members plus family and friends participated in Keep DeLand Beautiful. During the event volunteers pick up litter throughout DeLand. The Halifax FEHA group picked up 15 bags of garbage in their designated area.
Halifax FEHA treated their members to a soda and snack break during the event. In addition, all Halifax FEHA members who participated received $5 worth of FEHA bucks that they may use for FEHA merchandise. Ginger Hancock was the grand prize winner of a yearly membership courtesy of Halifax FEHA. After the cleanup, all participants received a free T-shirt and a free lunch courtesy of the event organizers.
